Support for My Family

Discovering that your loved-one identifies as LGBTQ+ can leave you feeling alone, isolated, and with many unanswered questions.  PFLAG Jersey Shore was founded to provide peer-to-peer support for families, and this continues to be at the core of our mission.  Are you looking to learn how to support your family member in their journey of self-discovery?  Are you in need of connecting with other families who have travelled similar paths?  Many people have found attending a support group meeting helpful when they are seeking answers.

PLFAG Jersey Shore provides a safe, supportive and confidential environment in which to discuss these issues with other people who are struggling with, or have gone through similar experiences in the past.  Our Toms River Support Meeting is geared towards general support services to the LGBTQ+ community, their families, and allies.  While our meetings are open to anyone, we encourage transgender individuals and their families to attend our Transgender Support Meeting, which focuses solely on issues related to gender identity.
